About Authors

Dr. D. B .Wadhwani , M.D (Internal Medicine) 1982 batch from Baroda Medical College, Gujarat-India.

Became very busy in practice and started experiencing stress, hence motivated to find the purpose of life by approaching and practicing many religious customs. Not satisfied. Moved to learn different mind training programmes and spiritual practices over 10 years for variable time periods. All of them motivated and benefited considerably. Still something was missing. On insistence and hard press by Dr Bhalodi learnt Vipassana meditation and found that this is the cup of tea for himself. The journey of first 10 years of learning different techniques and last 10 years of vipassana practice motivated to compile a book especially for doctor friends and educated class of people who have misconceptions regarding meditation being unimportant and unscientific. And to give an insight in the field of meditation so that one may be convinced regarding the scientific basis of meditation and its application in the health care system apart from its spiritual benefits.

Along with Dr Rajiv Maru & Dr Kanubhai Kalsaria published a book compiling the experiences of more than 40 doctors who underwent vipassana courses. More than 1 lac copies printed and is in demand by seekers of peace.

For the benefits of many started lecturing on meditation and its different aspects. Many doctors and professional apart from general public are motivated to join courses on vipassana.
